Bass fishing ideas that virtually every novice fisherman need to understand

If you follow bass fishing tips, you'll not only catch more bass but larger bass, as well.  Most bass fishing tips would tell you one thing: bass don't like too much sunlight.  Considering that, look for them under lily pads when the sun's out. 

Other bass fishing tips involve using the correct kind of fishing equipment in order to heighten the chances of catching bass.  A safe bet for those just beginning bass fishing is approaching sales clerks at a specialty store and asking them which gear is best suited for the conditions in the water. 

Understanding the environment of bass is the first important tip.   As geographic locations are important so is water temperature and spawning grounds.

Every Bass fishermen has their own tricks and ways of doing things but there are many other tips and techniques that every fisherman should know and use.   A great tip to catch more bass is to use a variety of jig colors.  A great way to trick the bass is to match up the forage with the water where you are fishing.
Live treats bass love include worms, frogs, crayfish, minnows, lizards, and several small insects. 

Largemouth bass will consume anything that fits in their mouth. Spawning can occur any time from March to June. 

Smallmouth bass will strike on many different baits, so they're very catchable.  The feeding habits of these fish are more effected by the weather then by what time of the year it is.   Smallmouth bass are found most abundantly in cool and clear water that is heavy in crayfish, when you catch one they will sure fight you to get away.

Any time you can go is a good time. If you only have a few days to choose, you should consider the solunar tables, weather conditions, and barometer.   The best time to  fish for bass  is May through July, using minnows, crayfish, night crawlers, jigs, crank baits and spinner baits. 

The best reel to use is a baitcaster reel.  These types of rods are tailored for casting lures, and plugs.  To catch an abundance of big bass, this will definitely help.

Rod and reels are becoming progressive as they are generally lighter and easier to use.  Using one for a full days fishing doesn't require much effort at all.  A fishing rod that has flex to it is best, as it takes in the shock of a strike.  If you are trying to catch hybrid's there are several good ways to keep the hook from pulling out of its mouth.
